If it looks like a flute, it is an omen regarding the art of music; if it appears in the private parts of constellations; it is an omen for immoral behavior; it portends genius and erudition if it forms an equilateral triangle or a rectangular quadrilateral in relation to some fixed stars, and it portends poisonings if it appears in the head of either the northern or southern Serpent.

1 - Christmas really happened.
Why did these events of the first Christmas take place?
That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched--this we proclaim concerning the Word of life. The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. We write this to make our joy complete.
-1 John 1:1-4
Religion is a waste of time. Salvation is by grace through faith.
In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God and the word was God.
-John 1:1

-1 John 1:2
How does one unite with Jesus?
Religion: Measured goodness.
Jesus: No one is good enough. I offer salvation by grace.
But then the truth of Christmas comes: I am saved by grace through faith alone.
How does this change my world?
Because He gave up what was most precious to Him so that He would not lose me, we can have an identity that is Rock solid.
2 - Christmas means that we can actually have fellowship with God.
We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. We write this to make our joy complete.

For God, who said, 'Let light shine out of darkness,' made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.

This is why God made the church, the Koinonia: the fellowship of mutual sharing.

We write this to make our joy complete.
